Long before you walk in our door to well after you leave, you our customer comes first and from room attendant to management we strive every day to make your experience here the best possible. The Super 8 Fort McMurray is proud to introduce to you, our guests, some of the friendly faces you may encounter during your stay here at the Super 8 Motel in Fort McMurray, AB. The Super 8 Motel in Fort McMurray would like to Congratulate Dawn Keats, Manager On Duty on being selected by the Fort McMurray Tourism group and given the Gold Star Award of Excellence for Outstanding Guest Services on Friday October 6, 2006. We are extremely pleased to add that this is the second time that Dawn has received this award from tourism officials. A summary of the guests letter to Fort McMurray tourism reads as follows: “ Dawn always has a nice smile to greet each guest. She is outgoing, pleasant and friendly. I can always count on her to make me feel welcome, more like I have just come home. Dawn has a great personality and is very knowledgeable and helpful about the city. She always recommends good places to eat, or things to see and do ! Thanks Dawn ..your my Super 8 Gold Star “ We are proud to say that Dawn is a true example of a Customer Service Leader not only here at the Super 8 Fort McMurray but throughout the hospitality industry. Dawn received a beautiful bouquet of roses from her friends at the Super 8 who are so very proud of the recognition she has received. Well Done Dawn! In an innovative and fresh approach, the Super 8 Motel Fort McMurray filled the position of Executive Housekeeper by naming three individuals to the position in a shared capacity. All aspects of the job are shared and each person brings to the table their own unique strengths that are creatively balanced by the other two individuals. In a market that consistently runs 100 % occupancies on at least 5 days a week this also comes with its own set of challenges however these three ladies have stepped up their game and are working very hard with fellow team members to ensure that cleanliness remains Priority 1! During a surprise inspection in early October by the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association the property received an outstanding report and was notified the following week that they will be receiving the 2007 Housekeeping Award that rewards a property for excellence in cleanliness comfort and maintenance. Congratulations to Charmaine, Sadie & Iris and to each and every team member for their dedication and commitment to a quality product for our guests!
